International sanctions have significantly affected the foreign economic activity (FEA) of Russian companies. - improve the quality of business, reduce entrepreneurial risks, ensure the reliability of relations between transaction participants.

Around the world, cooperatives make a significant contribution to the sustainable economic development of territories, demonstrate high survival as the most effective form of corporate governance, economic sustainability in a crisis. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has formed the structure of a new national project "International Cooperation and Export". It will consist of three existing federal projects - "Industrial Export", "Export of AIC Products", "Systemic Development Measures" and one new one - "Creation of Foreign Infrastructure". Until 2030, it is planned to allocate 1.07 trillion rubles for all activities in the basic, more expensive scenario or 621 billion rubles in the conservative one.
For more than 250 years, cooperative forms of organization of activity in the life of society have been developing throughout the planet, in all socio-political formations, confirming their reliability and independence from external influence. Today, more than 3 million cooperatives in 110 countries unite more than 1 billion people - this is about 13% of the world's population.
The foreign economic activity of cooperatives is carried out on the basis of open membership collective self-government and self-financing, providing economic benefits to all its participants. Cooperatives have the right to carry out foreign trade operations with foreign partners both directly and by creating commercial organizations and international associations.
Cooperatives have the right to create their own divisions and representative offices both in Russia and in the territories of other countries, can form international teams of specialists, exchange scientific and technical inventions and developments, assist in personnel training, participate in the activities of international cooperative organizations, hold international exhibitions and fairs.
The international system of cooperation "Quality of Life" is a "free economic zone" where, in accordance with Russian and international legislation, reduced tax rates can be applied, which allows to provide cooperative organizations with competitive advantages in international markets. The United Nations declared 2025 the second International Year of Cooperatives. The official launch will take place at the ICA Global Conference in November 2024 in India.
December 25, 2023 The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Islamic Republic of Iran signed a Free Trade Agreement. The objectives of the Agreement are to liberalize and facilitate trade in goods between the EAEU and Iran by reducing or eliminating tariff and non-tariff barriers, supporting economic and trade cooperation, diversifying trade, as well as strengthening closer cooperation in various sectors of the economy. 5 июня 2024 The Federation Council of Russia approved the ratification of the free trade agreement between the EAEU and Iran.
